All guests 12 years of age or older must show proof of vaccination (minimum one dose) upon arrival. We reserve the right to deny entry to the museum and tickets will not be refunded. Children younger than age 12 will not be excluded from venues because they are not eligible to be vaccinated at this time.

Masks must be worn at all times except when enjoying a treat or taking a picture. In light of the state-mandated executive order due to Covid-19, all eligible guests must use the state’s official apps, NYC Covid Safe/Excelsior Pass or a paper card to show proof of vaccination (at least one dose is needed) to enter indoor dining and entertainment venues from 17 August 2021 onwards upon arrival at the museum. For guests from outside of the United States, please present proof of paperwork showing that you received any of the eight vaccines approved for emergency use by the W.H.O.

Pinkmas at Museum of Ice Cream
'Pinkmas', the annual holiday celebration from Museum of Ice Cream (MOIC) New York City, kicks off Thursday, November 18th and runs through January 9th. This year promises to be bigger, bolder and better than ever as MOIC NYC transforms its 13 multi-sensory installations into a pink winter wonderland bursting with snowflakes, candy canes, and pink trees! Guests are encouraged to bring a new toy in exchange for one scoop of ice cream at the MOIC Cafe – and all toys will be donated to Toys For Tots.

For this very special event, MOIC NYC will serve up three immersive floors of new holiday treats, festive games and engaging activations only available during Pinkmas! Guests are invited to come dressed in their pinkiest Pinkmas attire to embark on a holiday adventure to find the true meaning of Pinkmas with friends, family, and loved ones. The Pinkmas experience will be filled with interactive moments, from crafting ornaments and decorating the MOIC trees, to tasting sweet treats that celebrate the season’s festive spirit.

Ever wondered about the history of the candy cane? MOIC guides will educate guests about holiday traditions and symbols from different cultures around the world and set intentions and resolutions for the year to come. Join the hunt for the candy cane sprinkle hidden in MOIC NYC’s world famous Sprinkle Pool for a special surprise and sing along to Pinkmas-ified carols!

If you reserve your tickets for the nighttime hours, you will receive a welcome spiked treat and a boozy Scoop, moreover, an additional activity - the newly released “Where Should We Begin - A Game of Stories” a card game by Esther Perel that’s about cone-ction and storytelling!

Is the tour self-guided?

Museum of Ice Cream is now a self-paced experience allowing guests to take as much time as they would like in each exhibit. #TeamMOIC will also be there to guide you along the way for added fun, and of course to lead the special activities!

Is this an official museum?

A museum in our opinion celebrates creativity, passion, innovators, and innovations, and we created the Museum of Ice Cream in this spirit. While we are neither a non-profit nor an official museum, we are built upon the foundation of sharing and celebrating imagination.

Is the Sprinkle Pool real? How is it kept clean?

Yes! The Museum of Ice Cream designed close to one hundred million sprinkles out of antimicrobial biodegradable material to build the iconic sprinkle pool. We clean them frequently in our very own antibacterial sprinkle shower. They are not real edible sprinkles though and cannot be eaten.

How long does it take to visit Museum of Ice Cream?

Museum of Ice Cream ticketed experience is designed to take around an hour to an hour and a half. After your ticketed experience, feel free to relax at our Café.

Do you offer coat check?

The coat check is closed. All garments, backpacks, briefcases, and bags must remain on your person and cannot be left unattended. Umbrellas must be contained within an admissibly-size bag.

Are there vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, and kosher options?

We have vegan treats for our guests! We cannot wait for you to visit the Museum of Ice Cream and experience the art, installations, and now vegan and dairy treats. Please note that most treats are not certified gluten-free or Kosher at this time! If nuts are served, they will be labeled, but please note products may contain traces of nuts and we cannot guarantee preparation in a nut-free environment.

Is there a minimum age for children to enter on their own?

There is no age minimum. Parents are encouraged to use their own discretion and understand that they are responsible for their own children whether accompanied or not.

Do I get ice cream with my ticket?

Yes! Multiple delicious treats are included with your reservation.

Is the museum wheelchair accessible?

There are hourly parking garages nearby.

Are pets allowed?

No. Animals are not permitted at the Museum of Ice Cream.

Can everyone ride the slide?

Guests must be 7 years or older, and 44 inches or taller to ride the slide. There is a Cherry Elevator directly adjacent to the slide where they can take a ride down. It will take you down to the Melted Cave where the slide finishes.

Is photography allowed?

Photography is allowed and encouraged! Commercial or product shoots, press interviews, media shoots, and all professional video equipment is prohibited without advance approval and accompaniment from a Museum of Ice Cream representative.

Does the museum serve alcohol?

Yes. The museum offers craft cocktails and boozy shakes.
